South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club: the best golf value in Muskoka

Conditions have been improving steadily since 10:45 this morning and Men’s Night will be held as scheduled today, September 28. Power carts rule will be 90 degrees. Regardless of later conditions or possible cancellations of golf, our delicious turkey buffet will be served tonight, starting at 5:30 pm . So whether you plan to golf or not, come on over and have a great dinner and some laughs.

We are sorry to advise that the Persimmon Golf Junior & Senior has been cancelled due to weather, and will be played next Monday, September 26th, weather permitting. If you were registered to play in today’s event we would appreciate it if you could get in touch with us to confirm your availablity for the rain date of September 26.

The Annual General Meeting of the Voting Members of The South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club will take place on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the clubhouse at 10 Golf Course Road, Bracebridge, Ontario.

The Club’s Board is composed of ten Directors, elected for a two year term at the Annual General Meeting held in December of each year. Five Directors are elected each year.

The following Directors have one year remaining on their current terms on the Board:
Rob Burgess, Bricie Boothby
Stephen Roche, David Finch
Ed Chuter

The terms of the following Directors expire this year and they will be seeking re-election with the endorsement of the Board:
Kevin Chilvers, Joe Conway
Bill Fleming

The Nominations Committee is recommending the following members for election to the Board:

Nancy Raynor, Nathan Guy

If a member wishes to nominate an additional candidate(s) for election they must submit the name of the candidate to the Secretary, supported by the signatures of at least 15 voting members, at least 30 days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.
